Problem Statement
There have always been stray animals around us specially cattle's & dogs who were either abandoned by their owners or were strays from the beginning. The life of these stray animals was always difficult but in the last few years the number of stray animals has increased a lot due to many reasons, but the problem was not limited to that.
The real problem started when it became difficult for the stray animals to save their lives due to shortage of food, disease, killing by people and many other such things and from all angles, conflict has started between humans and the stray animals, and the animals that were earlier humans best friends have now started attacking each other which is a dangerous situation for our society.
We have seen many cases in the last few years where cattle’s & dogs have died either due to hunger or some disease and the only reason for this is that they were not taken proper care of.
Care and treatment of stray dogs was the sole objective when we initially started this mission but when we went to the ground with our team, we realized that there are more cattle’s in need of care than stray dogs because the population of stray cattle’s is much higher, and their life is even worse. Since then, we have decided that along with the stray dogs, we will also take care of the stray cattle’s and arrangements will be made for them too.
Project Justification & Goals
As we mentioned in the previous slide, in today's time, stray animals and lack of medical care for them have become a challenging situation for them as well as for society.
Our focus is rural areas where stary animals are mostly neglected, and very few organization or NGO’s are doing any work for them.
We identify 3 to 4 villages in a week, after which a team of 6-7 people goes to those villages and sets up camps and treats the animals for free, drive the vaccination for stary animals & provide medicines & nutritious food for sick stray animals.
If any animal is weak or very sick, our team takes that animal to the center by ambulance and here we treat & keep then until the stray animal becomes normal.
When we started going to villages and taking care of stray animals, we realized that this is a very big problem and what we are doing is like a grain of sand in the desert. Then we realized that if we really wanted to make efforts for them, we would have to add more people, create several teams and increase our camping capacity.
Goals:
And we started meeting people and involving them in this project, today we have a team of approximately 160 people who are taking this project forward but we have to increase our team further.
We need the help of such people and corporates who join us and support our mission so that we can organize more and more camps to provide the help to the needy stray animals.
